Flying from London Gatwick to Croatia with easyJet
One of the best things about living in the UK is how easy it is to explore Europe. With countless destinations just a few hours away, a spontaneous weekend getaway is always within reach.
For this trip, I flew from London Gatwick Airport to Croatia with easyJet, one of the UK’s most popular low-cost airlines. The journey was simple, affordable, and the perfect start to a relaxing holiday on the Adriatic coast.
An Early Start at Gatwick
I arrived at Gatwick a couple of hours before departure to allow plenty of time for check-in and security. The airport was already busy with travellers heading off for summer holidays, but everything moved smoothly.
Before boarding, I grabbed a coffee and a light breakfast while watching planes come and go. There’s always something exciting about the atmosphere of an airport, especially when a new adventure is about to begin.
Flying with easyJet
Boarding was well organised, and the flight departed on time.
Although easyJet is a budget airline, the journey was comfortable for a short European flight. The cabin crew were friendly, and before long we were flying across Europe towards the beautiful Croatian coastline.
Looking out of the window as the deep blue Adriatic Sea came into view was easily one of the highlights of the journey.
Arriving in Croatia
After landing, the warm Mediterranean air was a welcome change from London’s unpredictable weather.
Croatia immediately impressed me with its crystal-clear sea, charming old towns, and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re exploring historic streets, enjoying fresh seafood by the harbour, or simply watching the sunset over the water, it’s easy to understand why Croatia has become such a popular European destination.

Travel Tips
- Arrive at Gatwick at least two hours before departure.
- Check easyJet’s cabin baggage allowance before packing.
- Download your boarding pass to your phone in advance.
- Bring comfortable shoes if you plan to explore Croatia’s historic towns.
- Summer flights can be busy, so booking early often offers the best prices.
Final Thoughts
Travelling from London to Croatia couldn’t have been easier. In just a few hours, I went from the bustling city life of London to the stunning coastline of the Adriatic Sea.
Sometimes, the best journeys don’t require long-haul flights—just a passport, a small suitcase, and the excitement of discovering somewhere new.
Croatia was the perfect reminder that unforgettable adventures are never too far away.
